The terms of using Margin.

Margin is an early product run by a small team. Features will change, things will sometimes break, and we may need to pause or end the service. We back up your data, but we can’t promise it will never be lost, so keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.

One account per person. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at tarikeshaq@gmail.com if you think someone else has access.

Your notes, images, answers and reflections stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them, including sending them to the AI providers listed in our privacy policy, only to run Margin for you. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to use.

Margin’s plans, feedback, grades and chat replies are written by AI models. They can be wrong, incomplete or overconfident. Check them against your own resource, and don’t rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions.

• Don’t try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
• Don’t access other people’s accounts or data.
• Don’t use Margin for anything illegal, or to generate content meant to harm others.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we’ll give notice where we reasonably can. If we shut Margin down, we’ll give you time to export what you need.

Margin is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Margin. Margin is currently free; nothing here limits rights you have under laws that can’t be waived.

We’ll update these terms as Margin changes and tell you by email about material changes. Continuing to use Margin after a change means you accept it.
